Renew or Begin Your Membership - Help Shape Deerfield's Future

As our community continues to flourish, we approach a significant moment for Deerfield.  With the current fiscal year drawing to a close on June 30th, it’s time to reaffirm your commitment to the collective well-being and enduring charm of our neighborhood by renewing your Deerfield Homeowners and Property Owners, Inc. (DHPO) membership for FY 2026-2027 (July 1, 2026 – June 30, 2027).  As stipulated in our By-Laws, membership dues are payable July 1st.  We cordially invite you to join or renew your status as an Active Member, directly contributing to the preservation of the unique beauty, property values, and profound sense of community that truly distinguish Deerfield.

Why Your Membership Matters – Investing in Deerfield's Future:

Your annual contribution of $300 is much more than a fee; it's an investment in the very fabric of our shared lifestyle and the protection of your home's value.  These vital funds empower the DHPO to:

Uphold Community Standards:  Through dedicated covenant enforcement, we safeguard property values, maintain the aesthetic integrity of our natural surroundings, and ensure a harmonious living environment for all residents.  This proactive approach helps prevent deterioration and protects your investment.

Cultivate a Thriving Community Spirit:  Your membership brings to life cherished community events designed to foster connection, create lasting memories, and celebrate our shared identity.  From the practical support of our Spring Dumpster Day to the festive cheer of the Winter Social and the patriotic spectacle of the Independence Day Parade, these gatherings are the heart of Deerfield.

Amplify Our Collective Voice:  The DHPO serves as our unified advocate, ensuring Deerfield’s priorities and concerns are heard and addressed by Douglas County officials.  This collective influence is critical in shaping crucial decisions regarding planning, road maintenance, and traffic control, directly impacting our safety and daily convenience.

Empower Your Participation:  Active Members hold invaluable voting rights on pivotal issues and decisions that will shape Deerfield’s trajectory and future development.  Your voice is crucial in steering our community forward.

Enhance Safety and Resilience:  We are committed to proactive wildfire preparedness, a critical endeavor given our natural landscape.  This includes spearheading initiatives like the highly successful 2024–25 Fire Mitigation Grant Refund Program, which provided direct financial benefits to lot owners.  This program was a testament to the power of our volunteers collaborating closely with County and State partners, making our community safer and more resilient.

Last fiscal year, an impressive 91 lot owners stood with us as Active Members, making these essential initiatives possible. Your participation in FY 2026-2027 is not just a renewal; it's a vital continuation—and expansion—of these successful efforts.
