2026 Independence Day Parade

Get ready to mark a momentous occasion!  As our nation approaches its historic 250th anniversary of Independence, the Deerfield Homeowners & Property Owners, Inc. (DHPO), along with our dedicated Fawn Circle hosts, is thrilled to invite everyone (including members, non-members, extended families and friends) to a truly special community celebration on Saturday, July 4th, 2026.  This promises to be a day filled with patriotic spirit, neighborly camaraderie, and unique Deerfield charm.

We extend a special invitation to all who own a decorated Tractor, Vintage or Classic Car, Vintage or Classic Motorcycle, or Side-by-Side to showcase their vehicles and invigorate our festive parade.  This is your chance to shine and contribute to a vibrant display of community pride!

Here's a detailed look at our celebratory schedule:

9 AM – 10 AM:  Community Potluck Breakfast Social

Kick-off the day with a delightful breakfast gathering in Fawn Circle.  This is a wonderful opportunity to connect with treasured friends and welcome new neighbors. Bring your favorite breakfast dish to share, or simply bring yourself and your enthusiasm!  We'll have a casual potluck spread to fuel our morning festivities.

Parade Participant Staging:  For those participating in the parade, please drive your vehicle down Fawn Circle as far as possible to line up on the shoulder.  The brave men and women of the Franktown Fire Department will position their units first, ready to lead our procession (and swiftly respond to any emergency calls, should duty beckon).

Spectator Parking:  If you are attending the breakfast or parade but not participating with a vehicle, we kindly request you park on South White Tail Drive.  This thoughtful arrangement ensures a smooth and orderly staging process for all parade entries.

Safety First:  We will begin with a brief acknowledgment of our nation's independence, followed by essential safety announcements to ensure everyone enjoys a secure and joyful event.

10 AM – 11 AM: The Grand Deerfield Tractor Parade!

Prepare for a unique spectacle as our decorated vehicles, led by the Franktown Fire Department, embark on a festive 5-mile journey through Deerfield, proceeding at a leisurely 5 mph.  This is the heart of our celebration!

Parade Route:  Please refer to the attached Route Map and Summary Information for precise details. Follow the magnificent fire engines as they guide our parade.

Cheer on Your Neighbors:  For those unable to join the pre-parade social or participate with a vehicle, we warmly encourage you to line the parade route along with your families, friends, and neighbors.  Bring your flags, your loudest cheers, and show your support for the parade participants and their wonderful displays!

11 AM – 12 PM:  Post-Parade Social & Fellowship

Following the parade, all are invited back to Fawn Circle to continue the celebration.  Mingle with participants, share stories, and simply enjoy the vibrant community spirit.  Your assistance with a light clean-up afterward would be immensely appreciated as we work together to keep Deerfield beautiful.

Welcome Our Esteemed Special Guests:

We are honored to have the presence of several vital community partners joining us for this special day:

  • The Franktown Fire Protection District (pending emergency calls)

  • Douglas County Sheriff's Office Deputies (on duty)

  • Representatives from the Colorado Parks and Wildlife

Their presence underscores the strong community ties and shared commitment to safety and outdoor enjoyment that define Deerfield.

2026-27 DHPO Membership Renewal & New Member Opportunity:

This event offers a convenient opportunity for both new and renewing DHPO members.  Save time, postage, and an envelope by bringing your $300 payment directly to the gathering.  Our dedicated Board members will be available to accept personal checks or assist you with scanning the DHPO QR code for a quick and easy digital payment.  Your membership supports the initiatives that make Deerfield such a remarkable place to live.

Important Reminders for Our Community:

No Open Fires or Fireworks:  In the interest of community safety and fire prevention, please remember that open fires of any kind, including fireworks, are always strictly prohibited within Deerfield.

No Hunting:  For the protection of our wildlife and residents, hunting is not permitted within Deerfield.

We deeply value your active participation, which truly makes Deerfield an exceptional place to call home.  We eagerly anticipate sharing this memorable 250th Independence Day celebration with all of you.

Warmest regards,
